San Juan Sunrise

About

After a traumatic childhood, Jenny is emotionally disturbed. She trusts no one and is fearful of everyone she meets. Beset by unresolved anger and ongoing depression, she prefers the loneliness of desolate places - the mountains, the desert - and spends much of her time hiking alone. Jenny’s erratic emotions and slow, difficult progress to healing, are brought into high relief as she struggles to shake off the lingering effects of her abusive past. Stranded by a late winter snowstorm, she meets William who is the catalyst that begins to change her life. Through his friendship and the friendship of others she meets through him, she begins to find a way to deal with her psychological damage. Jenny is forced to face what she would rather shy away from - and she must do it herself.
